INTRODUCTORY INFORMATION

I am originally from Albuquerque New Mexico. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, I was hired by Delta airlines as a flight attendant. I have been married to my husband Rob for twenty years. We have three very active children, ages 17, 15, & 11. I am a Library Media Specialist at Smith Elementary. I am a golf, volleyball & basketball mom, so I spend a lot of time on the road.

STORYTELLING INTERESTS

I come from a long line of storytellers. My family loved spending hours sitting around a sharing stories and life experiences together. As I began to pursue my master’s degree in library science, I found that my love of stories grew. My first storytelling class gave me the rewarding experience of performing for my students. I enjoy listening to professional storytellers and my goal is to attend the National storytelling festival.

I am new to the art of storytelling but I hope to continue to grow and try new genres of storytelling.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

I am passionate about my student’s love of reading and stories. Storytelling & books are a wonderful way to escape to new destinations, make new friends, & learn about different people. I have several book clubs which I have started at my school.

I am active in my church, and working with youth. I enjoy watching my children grow and become wonderful. I look forward to graduating in May with my Masters Degree in Library Science so I can take up my many hobbies; golf, needlepoint and travel.
