TAKING COURSES AFTER
THE MASTER'S DEGREE

Many of our students want to continue taking courses after they graduate -- perhaps to pick up a course they missed or to earn a Graduate Academic Certificate.  With 100 courses in our UNT-SLIS rotation, there are many courses that students still want to take, even though they have completed the 12 courses  required for their degrees.

To do this, you must reapply to the graduate school before or after you graduate, and pay a $50 application fee for post-graduate work.

  • To apply for post-graduate work, complete the graduate school application, but you do not need to include a statement of purpose or reference letters.

  • submit any transcripts needed to update your Master's application. (see Master's Admission Checklist on the homepage http://www.unt.edu/slis).

  • There will be a $50 admission fee, which I is supposed to last a lifetime (or until you get your next UNT degree).  Applications close out when a degree is issued.

Then call the SLIS office too-free via 877-275-7547 to enlist an advisor and work with the processes for advising memos, course registration codes, and the registration process!

Good luck!

E.
