REVIEW
Cinderella Stories http://www.acs.ucalgary.ca/~dkbrown/cinderella.html This site is assembled by Dr. David K. Brown for the Doucette Library of Teaching Resources at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Brown’s telephone number and email address are also included. This is a University Web Site and therefore should be considered reliable. It was last updated on Wednesday, October 15, 1997. Dr. Brown is still a faculty member of the University of Calgary and is listed in the Faculty Profiles, which is located on the University’s homepage. As the title indicates this web page is dedicated to Cinderella stories. It includes Internet resources, teaching ideas, reference books articles, picture books and full-length versions of Cinderella, and versions in collections. Several of the Web Links do not work, however there is one particularly outstanding link worthy of mentioning here. The University of Virginia Electronic Text Center has a multitude of books and stories available to everyone. http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/modeng.browse.html This page would be useful for any teachers or librarian who enjoys teaching and reading the many various versions of Cinderella, and I recommend this site to anyone interested in studying Cinderella. The extensive bibliography may be useful to librarians looking to increase their Cinderella collection.
