Knockgrafton Productions

This site was assembled by Knockfrafton Productions and can be found at www.knockgrafton.com/contents.html
The company is composed primarily of two Canadian partners--Jennifer White and Robert McMaster. Other musicians are briefly mentioned through short bios.
Ms. White describes herself as a Celtic harper, composer, vocalist and storyteller. McMaster calls himself an ecletic percussionist and performs with her. Both report long years of experience performing in front of audiences, and they now have cut two CD's, which are for sale on the website. Ms. White announces that she has been asked to be a part of an international Celtic musical group composed of female vocalists.
This is obviously a commerical site advertising the storytelling services and music of the partners. The site was last updated in December, 2001. The production company provides a web address for contacting them, as well as an e-mail address for Ms. White. She encourages e-mail.
The site includes a few newsy paragraphs about events in the members' personal lives--e.g. the death of her father and the breakdown of their bus. Links advertising their CD's, upcoming performances, and related musical interests are included and appear to be properly attributed. Other links include reviews and radio play of their CD's. Pictures of the two partners are also on the site. In one Ms. White is dressed in a Celtic costume holding her Celtic harp.
According to the site, Knockgrafton Productions is the indie record label, music publication and artist management company representing Ms. White. The company released her debut recording Clarsach in 1998. Interestingly, the name comes from an Irish folktale about a hump-backed man who lends his musical expertise to faeries. In return, they remove his hump. The mission of the company is to "uplift and transform the human spirit through music and story."
To conclude, this website is useful to those who are interested in hiring these musicians/storytellers, buying their music, or knowing more about related Celtic subjects. It might also be of interest to a storyteller searching for ideas on how to design a storytelling webpage.
