Overview: The Lyrics Library is a website that provides links to other sites which provide lyrics to songs. Searches for particular songs or artists may be conducted within this site, but the results of the search provide a link to another site with the information.

Scope: The scope of this site is fairly vast as far as song genre is concerned. The types of songs that can be accessed are not just limited to current popular tunes (as happens at many other lyric sites). Links are provided for blues, folk music, country and bluegrass, Canadian artists, children's songs, Christmas songs, hymns and gospel, international tunes, jingles, misheard lyrics, oldies, national anthems, and lyrics from musicals, movies, and television shows. The main portion of the site allows for alphabetical searches by artist; however, the number of artists actually produced during an alphabetical search is actually quite limited in scope. For example, a search conducted under the letter R only produced a list of eighteen artists. Searches by song title can also be conducted on this site and have more potential for scope than the artist searches.

Objectivity: Although this is a commercial site with advertising, the site is still fairly objective since it merely provides links to other song lyric sites.

Currency: The last published update of the site was June 4, 2000, and as a result, this site is not very current. In addition, many (if not the majority) of the links listed under the (alphabetical) artist search provided dead links. Some of the searches for song titles also provided dead links.

Accuracy: Since the site is promoted as a site of links and many of the links are dead, the website must be deemed fairly inaccurate. Of the links to live sites, many were sites created by individuals with no authoritative credentials. However, of the lyrics found, most appeared to be accurate.

Authority: The author of this website is unknown and, therefore, the authority of the site cannot be established. However, since this is a site of links, the authority of the links is more pertinent than the authority of this actual site.

Format: The site is on both a forest green and black background, and both backgrounds contain yellow typeface. The site is easy to read. The speed of connections is fairly quick, and the site is easy to maneuver.
