This website is produced by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and offers a brief guide to writing grants for funding purposes. The layout is simple and clean, offering all the relevant information on one page, eliminating the need to “click” through multiple links to view the entire outline. The outline guides the reader though the process of grant writing, beginning with the steps to follow in preparing to write the grant and how to identifying the right funding sources. It includes a detailed section on the guidelines for writing the actual proposal, and offers hints for follow-up measures after the grant proposal has been submitted. The writing is clear and concise providing examples and definitions of terms and ideas covered in the text. There are no links to web pages outside of the site nor are there advertisements. Although there is no single authors name the Corporation that sponsors the site is a well known organization and a reliable source to offer information on the grant writing process.. The copyright date on the web page is 2002. There are additional links on the page including an “About CPB” link that leads to a page which offers more information about the corporation. It states that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private, non-profit corporation created by Congress in 1967. This page hosts links to the corporations annual reports, business plans, as well as contact information for its Board of Directors and Corporate Officers. This site provides a clear, concise outline of the basic concepts in grant writing. A good resource to bookmark as a starting point for anyone undertaking a grant proposal.
