I was very interesting to look at Shelly Kneupper Tucker's website after hearing her tell a couple of stories. She is a wonderful storyteller and I enjoyed her website also. Although, the website was originally produced by her brother, she and her husband, Eric, are now updating it. The website was very easy to navigate and the information presented was useful and self-explanatory. The website contained several different components which give information about Mrs. Tucker and her storytelling. There is a brief biography explaining how she got into storytelling and explaining why "Spin a Yarn" is an appropriate title for her website. There are also descriptions of the concerts she gives: Family Trees Come Alive with Stories, Renaissance Stories, Ghost Story Concert, A Look at the Past, and Rekindle the Imagination with Stories (Storytelling Techniques for New Storytellers). Along with a brief description of each, the prices are included. The website is current. The last update was in September of 2003. There are links to the George West Story Fest (at which Mrs. Tucker will be a featured presenter again), the Tejas Storytelling Association, and the Storytelling Ring. Each of these websites contain lots more storytelling information. There is booking information included in the site including calendars with open dates marked, prices, and a link to her email on every page for booking ease, or for questions or comments. An added bonus is the story of the month, a new feature she is starting. She gives readers permission to use her story, unless it is a family story, with proper credit given of course. She also has four cassettes available for purchase. Order forms can be printed off and mailed in. This site is very useful if you have an interest in Mrs. Tucker or her stories. I thoroughly enjoyed and think others will too.
