This site authored by Alan Liu, who is a Professor of English at the University of California, Santa Barbara, does have an array of links to classical and well-known authors, as well as some universities that contribute to literature in a creative way. There are links to Shakespeare, William Blake, in addition to many sites that are broken down by era or geographic range. For example: “Twentieth-century Poetry in English” or “British poetry 1780-1910”.

The main way that this site is broken down is by several main headings, and they are: “Indexes and Meta-indices”, “Topics”, “Some LitLinks pages at various universities:”, “Texts, texts, and more texts”. Within these lie a myriad of other links that will take you anywhere you want to go relative to adult literature.
