Abstract/Summary
Abstract/Summary: This is an action song about an Eskimo on
a great hunting trip. The song describes the actions of the Eskimo as he
searches for a walrus. During the “osh-osh-ing-go” verses, the Eskimo is
paddling his canoe over icy waters. During the “ex-ah-cola-mee-shuh-wah-nee”
verses, the Eskimo completes the following actions: searching for food, shooting
the walrus, attempting to pick up the walrus, skinning the walrus, stirring the
walrus stew, eating the walrus stew, throwing up the walrus stew, and falling
asleep while snoring loudly.
