Abstract/Summary:

In Catholicism, the Blessed Virgin Mary is considered to be the Mother of Jesus, and to all who love and honor Her. There are songs known as Marian hymns that have been written in Her honor. Marian hymns are usually sung during the Catholic Holy Day of Obligation called, The Feast of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated on December 8. However, the songs can be sung throughout the Catholic church year.
