I grew up in Ohio and Nevada is now my

1978, which makes us almost natives! My two children, Erik and
Kelsey, are college students, and we have two psycho cats.
(Both adopted strays, which makes them adorable and crazy!) I
have been a school librarian for 22 years, currently at a
middle school.

STORYTELLING INTERESTS
My life as a storyteller began
when, as a child, I discovered the colorful fairytale books of
Andrew Lang on the shelves of the village library where I
lived. I'm still reading all the fairytales I can get my hands
on! As a young teen, the best Christmas gift ever of a
baritone ukulele and learning to play piano fired up a desire
to collect all the folk songs and ballads I could sing and
play. In addition to fairytales and folksongs, I enjoy telling
stories about my own life and family.
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
I
still take piano lessons and I love music of all kinds.
Spending leisure time outdoors hiking, camping, or just
quietly reading is something I really enjoy. I like flower
gardening, growing fresh tomatoes, feeding the birds, and
living with joy in my heart!
"Without
love and laughter, there is no joy . . .
Live among love and laughter."
